Australian Specialists

Advance Australia Visas is a specialist migration consultancy, providing professional advice to those seeking temporary or permanent visas for Australia. We assist people seeking visas across the full spectrum of Australian visa classes. We concentrate our expertise only on Australia, to ensure that clients wanting to move here receive the best possible service.

Why Use Our Services?

Australian migration law is complex and is constantly changing. Without a comprehensive understanding of migration regulations, policies and procedures, a visa application may be delayed, returned unprocessed, or refused outright.

Further, many visa categories do not have any appeal right in the event of a refusal, so it is vital that your application is prepared thoroughly from the outset, to give yourself the best chance of success.

That's where Advance Australia Visas can help! We provide the highest level of expertise to ensure your application runs smoothly, and offer a cost-effective, professional service to ensure that it is presented in the strongest manner possible. We are fully updated with the latest changes in legislation and policy that may affect your eligibility. We will also seek to streamline your application wherever possible, to keep processing times to a minimum.

Please note that for many visa categories, you must have your skills and qualifications assessed by the relevant professional body here in Australia. Your visa application itself may also have to be lodged, processed and decided in Australia - for many visa categories, an application cannot legally be lodged in your home country.  As we are based in Australia, we therefore have a distinct geographical advantage over those migration agents who are based overseas.

As the requirements for the different Australian visa categories vary widely, the services that we provide in acting for you will also be adjusted to meet those requirements. However, our services would typically include some or all of the following:

  • Initial interviews and telephone conferences

  • Review of all relevant documents

  • Assessment of eligibility of all family unit members

  • Assessment of criteria to be satisfied for the grant of the selected visa category

  • Assessment of health or character issues that may affect the prospects of success

  • Assessment of a prospective employer's eligibility for visa purposes (issues such as training programmes and financial background etc), in respect of sponsored visa categories

  • Preparation of detailed instructions regarding documents to be provided

  • Assistance in the preparation of pre-application skills assessment forms

  • Preparation of a detailed submission to the relevant Australian assessing authority

  • Payment of assessing authority application fee

  • Liaison with the assessing authority as and where necessary

  • Assistance in the preparation of appropriate Department of Immigration application forms

  • Preparation of a detailed submission in support of the visa application

  • Payment of government application fee

  • Liaison with the Department of Immigration or overseas processing offices as and where necessary

  • Assistance in the provision of medical examinations and character clearance certification

  • Assistance with the grant of the visa

  • Advice on pre-departure and post-arrival visa requirements

Our service is thus comprehensive, and guides you through from the initial consultation until the day your new visa is placed in your passport and you travel to Australia. We can further guide you through the requirements for the grant of Australian citizenship or the renewal of your visa at the end of its validity, as appropriate.

Professional Registration

Migration advice within Australia can only be provided by a professional migration agent who is registered with the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA). A registered agent must possess either formal legal qualifications, or a demonstrated knowledge of migration law, and must comply with the formal MARA Code of Conduct.

Note that there are many migration consultancies operating outside Australia who do not have any registered migration agents on their staff. However, if you intend using a migration agent to assist you with your application, the Department of Immigration recommends one who is registered with MARA.  It is hence in your best interest to use a registered migration agent to handle your visa application - your future in Australia may depend on it!

Further recognition of a migration agent's professional standing can be obtained through membership of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA). The MIA is the professional association for Australian migration service providers worldwide, and represents over 700 registered migration agents.

All MIA members undertake Continuing Professional Development to promote a high standard of excellence in education and services in the Migration Industry. The Institute also sets and administers standards for the conduct of members.

Our migration consultants are registered with MARA, and are also members of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA) - the professional association for Australian migration service providers worldwide.

If you are considering coming to Australia - either temporarily or permanently - we will be happy to discuss the visa options available to you.
